Project Update: Ecuador – March 2026
“And the gospel must first be published among all nations.” Mark 13:10. “The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God.” Great Controversy, 612.

What began as small Bible studies and low-key literature distribution has grown into a vibrant movement of faith among Ecuadorian communities hungry for truth. From the high mountains to the vast Amazon basin, God is opening doors for the gospel, especially among the Kichwa, the largest indigenous group in the country. To keep up with the interest, we have hired pastors and Bible workers to visit homes, conduct evangelistic meetings, and disciple new believers. In urban neighborhoods and remote villages alike, families are studying the Scriptures and making decisions. Churches are growing, and new groups of believers are forming among the Kichwa.
For generations, the Kichwa have preserved their language, culture, and traditions despite the onslaught of Western influence. While religious materials are available in Spanish, heart transformation often happens most deeply when people encounter God’s Word in their original tongue. When Scripture speaks in the language of childhood and family, it reaches beyond the mind and into the heart.

Local leaders have worked diligently to translate and prepare Bible-based materials in the Kichwa language. They have published doctrinal studies, health tracts, and the books Great Controversy and Steps to Christ to help new believers grow strong in their faith. The response has been encouraging. Entire families have been gathering to read and study together, and interest has spread from village to village.
However, a major challenge remains. At present, the Kichwa books and materials are being printed on an old, faulty printer. In remote mission fields, delays often mean missed opportunities. Too often, Bible workers meet people who really want to learn more—but they have no literature to leave with these searching souls.
To meet the growing need, our team in Ecuador is seeking to purchase a dedicated printing press that would allow Kichwa books and study materials to be produced locally. The new press would dramatically reduce costs, increase production speed, and ensure that literature is always available for outreach efforts. Most importantly, it would place witnessing tools into the hands of local believers.
Imagine Bible workers traveling by foot or canoe into remote communities, carrying satchels full of books written in the language people understand best. Imagine children reading gospel stories in Kichwa for the first time, or families discovering biblical truth together through materials prepared specifically for them. A printing press is not simply equipment—it is a missionary that works day and night, multiplying the reach of every evangelistic effort.
God is preparing hearts in Ecuador. The harvest is growing, but the workers need resources to keep pace with the interest. Literature has always played a powerful role in spreading the Three Angels’ Messages, and today it is opening doors among indigenous communities.
Please pray for our newly hired pastors and Bible workers, and the new believers across Ecuador. Pray especially for the Kichwa communities, that the gospel will take deep root and continue to spread. Together, we can help ensure that no one is left without the opportunity to read the message of hope in their own tongue. If you would like to reach out to this unreached tribe, mark your gift “Ecuador Workers” or “Ecuador Printing.”
Yours in reaching every tribe with the gospel!
