Printing Press in Ecuador

In the 1950s, missionary Jim Elliot made initial contact with the Kichwa people of Ecuador, driven by a passion to share the gospel in remote, unreached regions. His dedication laid the foundation for future outreach among indigenous communities in the Amazon. Though his life was tragically cut short, his legacy lives on in the continued efforts of other workers to reach the Kichwa people with the message of Christ.

Today, the Imbaquingo family are building on Jim Elliot’s legacy—not with planes or radio contact, but with truth-filled books. For the first time, Steps to Christ and The Great Controversy have been translated into unified Kichwa, a language spoken by millions across South America. The first printing of the books has been completed, helping bring the everlasting gospel to people in their own heart language. However, all copies of Steps to Christ have already been freely distributed, creating the need for a second print run. Please consider how you can help get these precious books into the hands of the Kichwa people!

How You Can Help

The Need
The Imbaquingo family owns a very old printing press that needs to be replaced to continue printing books to reach the Kichwa people.

The Cost
For about $10,000–$15,000, a new press can be purchased to continue reaching the millions of Kichwa people who still need to hear the gospel.
