Venezuelan Refugees
The suffering inflicted by Venezuela’s communist regime has caused thousands of Venezuelans to flee to Ecuador. Traveling hundreds of miles on foot, many with small children in tow, they attempt to start their lives over again in a more favorable environment. By the time they reach their destination, they have eaten up the food they brought from home. Hunger grips their bodies, and they wear torn, travel-worn clothes and holey shoes (or no shoes at all).
Patty Gomez and her family are working to show love towards these outcasts by providing food, clothes and other basic necessities. More than just providing the essentials for life, the Gomezes are giving these people the “bread of life” by sharing the gospel with them—the most important element of their ministry.
How You Can Help
Pray for the refugees fleeing oppression. Pray for them to accept the invitation to partake of the bread of life.
Give. Shoes, clothes, food and books are needed. If you would like to be a part of ministering to the Venezuelan people in Ecuador, please mark your donations “Ecuador Refugees.”
