Letter from Mike: Year in Review – December 2021

What a blessing you have been to the Lord’s work this year! Despite all the challenges, much has been accomplished through God’s help. The workers that you support have continued to press the Three Angels’ Messages into areas unknown. These last couple of years, a certain promise for God’s faithful workers has kept coming to my mind: “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. . . . If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if a tree falls to the south or the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. . . . In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good.” Ecclesiastes 11:1, 3, 4, 6, NKJV. We should not halt our work for the salvation of souls because of the circumstances, but we should continue our efforts, leaving the consequences to the Lord!

This year, the faithful workers whom you are supporting through Mission Projects International have aggressively pushed the message forward at blazing speed! In Zambia, Pastor Hillary Moonga is building up God’s Kingdom through evangelism. In the past year, he has worked in three areas, and more than 300 persons have surrendered to the Lord and have been baptized! Your gifts have provided Bibles for most of these new converts to God’s church.

In Uganda, Pastor John Kaganzi has been preaching on Messenger FM Radio and coordinating the six Bible workers that MPI supports. God has truly been blessing these hard-working laborers in the gospel! Dozens of people have given their hearts to Jesus after many Bible studies and personal appeals by these faithful workers.

In Ecuador, Dr. Gaby has been using her talents in dentistry to win the hearts of her patients. She and her husband Fernando are now equipped with a mobile clinic to service many rural areas where people come seeking medical help. MPI recently hired Mr. Moreira as a Bible worker to handle all the Bible study requests that have been generated by Dr. Gaby’s dental ministry. Many are now studying with him one-on-one, and are responding to the gospel. Some are already preparing for baptism!

This past year we have been able to drill two new water wells. These wells supply abundant, clean drinking water to the villages, but more importantly, they service an even greater need. At each of the wells, Bible workers minister to the spiritual needs of the people, inviting them to come and drink the “water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17.

Through your support, we have been able to sponsor many evangelistic meetings in Vietnam, Uganda, Togo, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and many other places. Many new churches have been planted in areas where before there had been no Seventh-day Adventist presence. Your funds have been used to clothe and feed the poor, and help with other needs. This medical missionary work has again proved itself as a wonderful entering wedge, especially among the believers of Islam. Many have responded in miraculous ways!

Please keep the worldwide work in your prayers as we seek to plant new churches and plant new converts in the truth of the Three Angels’ Messages! Thank you again for all your support this past year.

Yours in pressing the message into new places!
